VOLUNTEER RECEPTION
 The VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION RECEPTION is held annually to thank the more than 100 volunteers who contribute to making the events of The Hord Foundation successful. Volunteers are the lifeline of the Foundation; no one is paid for the contributions they make to the organization. One hundred percent (100%) of the dollars raised for scholarships go into an account to fund student recipients. Event Characteristics
Volunteers are invited to a business/social event. The chairman of the Board of Trustees and committee chairpersons review the objectives of their activities and invite volunteers to suggest ways in which the event can be improved. Input is recorded for implementation next year. Refreshments are provided. We provide volunteers tokens of our appreciation (certificates, branded gifts, etc).
